At Redeemer we believe that true discipleship requires sacrificial community service. All of our members are expected to find a place of service, whether in church or the neighborhood. The following are several connections to ministry:
Greeters: Before service, this team of helpful men and women welcome those who have come to worship and orient visitors to our church.
Child Check-In: Before the service, this team of men and women register first time visiting children and check all children into their appropriate classes.
Children’s Ministry: We love our kids at Redeemer and there are lots of them! There are several ways to serve and bless our youngest ones.
Hospitality: We hope to create a warm and inviting environment every Sunday. Those who work in this area get a chance to bless the whole congregation with refreshments.
Jobs For Life: Each year we host this job training program that incorporates the Word of God and business ethics to see a transformation from the inside, out.
Nursing Home Ministry: Every fifth Sunday our church is deployed in groups to teach, sing, and generally love the residents in all six local nursing homes. Three groups go to three nursing homes at 2:30pm, and another set of three at 3:30pm.
Music: The music ministry of our church is blessed with wonderful talent, encouraging us with singing and playing.
Facilities / Grounds: For those who are handy or enjoy working outdoors this is a great opportunity to help steward the church and land that we use.
Care Team: We serve our community though providing meals, help with children or around the house after a birth, surgery or in times of illness or other hardship. We also serve by helping with moves and other needs.
Technical Assistance: If you are tech savvy or good with computers or electronics, we have various areas where your assistance is needed. Help with our website and social media is also needed.
Bible Studies/Community Groups/Discipleship: Redeemer exists to make disciples. Therefore we have many groups that focus on community fellowship, Bible study and accountability. There are opportunities to both lead and host these weekly and bi-weekly groups.
